deb,
are you interested in trailers or simply mobile sleeping machines? I am
reminded of a San Francisco friend in the mid 60's who converted a VW bug to
a living place. He created a raised floor deck with hatches everywhere
allowing closet storage space beneath the floor, kept the driver's seat, and
installed everything needed for graceful living including sumptuous curtains
and a little ceramic fireplace beside the bed and stereo record player, sink
and stove. He could entertain a guest, and I enjoyed an amazingly spacious
evening dinner there with him. I was like living in a gracious hobbit
hole.

PS: some part of the world must be a very good place since "hobbit" is in
the spellchecker.
