For those of us who are not subscribers to both lists, this came through on that other list for the strong and silent types:

"Pinheads is a freewheeling site that I find interesting, but mostly
spam for someone trying to earn a living. I found myself saving (=
considered valuable) about one post in 50 or so. With 30 or so posts a day, I had to jump ship. I use P-L as a source for what you just did...inquire about a technical problem or references. I usually get one or two meaningful ideas."

To each their own ... I personally find that BP provides me with a wonderful mixture of inspiration and technical solutions. It also allows me to relax and shoot the breeze (just like the introductory message claimed). I probably only save 1 in 50 messages (but why bother, when you can search the BP archives anyway!).

If I don't have time to read the incoming stuff ... it doesn't take long to trash the lot without opening (of course, I haven't reached that stage yet).

Why do the rest of us enjoy BP? I suppose that the pignic attendees have solved that question - any chance of a belated report?

Cheers

david
