I wonder if one of the problems w/ Preservation-L is that the
subscribers do not understand that it is what happens OFF the list that
is the most important part of the signal:noise ratio? Is there something
to the effect that once a threshold of absurdity is reached that lunch,
or visits to the library, or seeking each other out while traveling, or
planning activities such as pignics or trips to Poland becomes a reality?
