It's not just Leland; others have complained about getting a series of
blank messages from Ken and the one from you. In my case, I got them in
HTML, which my mail software refuses to display directly. Still others
probably have HTML-compliant mail software.

You can see this in the archive web site, where the HTML messages are full
of codes inside angle brackets. The non-HTML messages look perfectly
normal there. NONTECHIES SKIP THIS NEXT SENTENCE: Of course, everything
on the web site is in HTML; the "HTML" messages are "doubly" in HTML, with
the angle brackets showing up as special character codes in the source,
etc.

Why this happens is very unclear, especially considering that all your
other messages, and some of Ken's, came through just fine. I'm starting
to wonder if the listserv is at fault somehow. I have never seen this
particular problem with a mailing list before. We'll know its the
listserv if one of *my* messages comes through in HTML.

Again, my offer to repost them (probably 20 messages) stands.
