Have you ever read anything about the methodology and the energy that goes
into making decisions on store layout? Its amazing. People, and their
behavior, probably get more scrutiny than any architect would ever spend
time on. There was an article in the New Yorker (I think) a while back. If
I remember correctly the "science" is based, in large measure, on the
studies that William H. Whyte did on urban behavior.
