Don't think your shore birds would do very well here, it's high and dry
although sandy.  I think we were a lake bed sometime before my time.  You
can have the stone, the glacier left us a good supply.

The city fella asked Grandfather where all the stone came from.
Grandfather said the glacier brought them.  City fella asked, "Where's the
glacier now?"  Grandfather replied, "Gone after another load."  So you see
we won't run out anytime soon.

Sorry, I'm fresh out of larch trees, except for a few old, gnarly ones by
the dorm at school.  Won't hemlock do?  Ruth
