Maybe @ On the Media from NPR an interview w/ a guy who got the releases from the
substance addled arrestees @ Fox's COPS-
he was of the opinion that everyone believes that infamy is better than anonymity...
and peoples just go nuts when they see a camera....

My problem w/ Bowling....... was that he failed to interview the cops @ Columbine who cowered behind the fire trucks while kids and teachers died.
My first, long term, boss was a veteran of the Coast Guard who talked about the concept-
