I just had my vintage EPI 100 bookshelf speakers restored (a pair of the originals...real walnut veneer). The foam surrounds on the woofers were dry rotted, like any 35 year old speaker would be, and they sounded like somebody with a sore throat talking through a mouthful of dry crackers. New foam surrounds on the woofers...man, they sound golden again!
