Don't worry Ralph, I took your advice, even before you gave it. It would
really, really take a LOT to get me into that city again. My tractor and
pickup are safely here in Vermont. Ruth

Took young Richard and his camp buddy into the Bureau of Minhattin

Since I don't remember having heard any foreign languages among the teeming
masses walking 15 abreast on 5th and 6th, and 7th Avenues and Broadway from
42nd Street up to 52nd, yearning to breathe cold, all these people must
have been Americans. I don't know where they left their tractors and
pickups, but some parking lot owner must be making a bundle. Or maybe they
all came in through some unfortunate airport and the cabdrivers made a
bundle, but I don't think there are enough cabs to have brought all those
goddam people in. Or enough trains and buses, either, for that matter.

OK, I feel better now. Just in case any Pinheads AREN'T here, I advise you
to stay home.

Ralph
