Would your Beijing building, by any chance, be I.M. Pei's hotel?  He seems to
have some trouble with highrises.....ie, John Hancock, where there were worse
problems than schmutz.

Is it possible the feng shuists screwed up?  Or did they not listen to them?
Which reminds me, that during the question and answer period following a
lecture by Pei's partner Freed at the Holocaust Museum, some archinerd asked
Freed his opinion of Feng Shui.....
