Here I was sitting in my room at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in N'Awlins, dialling up my remote email, expecting to get a few kB of BP messages, and I find a 6MB transmission trickling down the international phone line .... estimated completion time 45 minutes.

Needless to say, I got off PDQ.

Today I finally tracked down a toll-free number for our NY gateway ... and was deluged by a shitload of demon mail messages!  Damn good thing I didn't persist with the international call!
