One problem is the jumbos did not take into account normal hand size. A
standard or modular size brick fits nicely in your hand, jumbos don't.

In the 1970s Davis Brody and others introduced oversized brick, supposedly
with the effect of increasing bricklayer productivity.  I am thinking of
projects like Waterside and Riverbend.
