Having had to go out with the crew in the rain... actually when the tail end
of the hurricane was passing through downtown, in order to repair a flagging
copper cornice, in danger of whipping itself out into Houston Street and
mowing down sunflowers and wet pedestrians, I cannot feel confident in any
cornice that I might have a relationship with as an adequate means of rain
protection. This paranoia on my part, to avoid either walking too near to or
thinking about the integrity of upper regions of buildings applies, as well
to my fobia regarding leaning parapets.
