Christmas morning 6:30 am ; ....with the pounding down the hall of little
bare feet the bed room door was flung open to the shouts ..... DAD-DY ...DAD-Dee

Daddy in disbelief at the news  (and the hour ) sprang from his bed shouting
and mumbling  incoherently like the inebriated door mouse .
...  "Really??" .SANTA ...here  ...REALLY?

 pointing the way  she led me and ma ma in robes behind the  doggies tail
wagging  into a darken living room of twinkling lights and evergreens
transformed  by  gift colors and  little girl treasures.
A white hoarfrost lay outside smudging the window corners with ice crystals
and the heat creaked the floorboards

There In the fairyland half  light of the room she turned   eyes big as
saucers;   said ...."SEE ....DADDY...
