Mr. G. Hopper:

It's not only the individual craftsperson from whom They (and we, too) want a
price break.  Brooks Bros., Mr. Lauren, Lands End et al. plenty of business
their "outlet mall" stores where the rubes go in search of bargains, as
opposed to the rubes paying full price at the retail stores.

We are all a bunch of cheap bastards.
