Yes, it is good. It is quite fatty so there are some special tricks to
roasting it. I have never cooked a coon and usually there are one or two
old ladies in the community who seem to have the knack for preparing an
edible coon. I am not one of them. I would imagine it is similar to
roasting a duck or goose, both of which are very fatty. Also, like lamb or
mutton, it wants to be eaten hot.

You have heard of eating "road-kill," well we have some genuine
"road-kill" in our freezer. A lady's car was hit by a deer in front of our
house and the deer was killed on the spot. Since it was a fresh, clean
kill I asked for and got the deer. Now I have to find recipes for cooking
venison. Ruth

Up here we eat coon. I haven't had it for quite a while

So was it good, or not?
