Ken,  I have seen bent marble, right here on the ground.  You need to go to
OLD graveyards.  Some of the thin, old gravestones are actually bent.  Ruth

Oh, my... the composite marble/concrete panels on the GM building were not
such a good idea and the 1/2" +/- thickness of marble began to peel off
from the concrete. I had never seen bent marble before the day I and my
partner were riding on the house rig at 700+ feet above the public plaza
and realized what was going on. Seems that other than us two nobody but the
window washers ever went there... they either did not see the problem, or
did not see it for not knowing what it was. That is why that facade got so
much work not too many years back.
