John,

I bet you HAVE learned the BP salute, but may have, like so many of us, been
forced to practice it in private.  It is sometimes performed while driving by
people who mistakenly think they're practicing it in private.

I further bet that if you watch very carefully, you'll find somebody (most
likely a person of tender years, but you might get lucky) saluting you at the
Beantown Convention.
