Michael,
About 15 years ago, during a brief project on the Marine Air Terminal, I met
Geoffrey Arend, ensconced there at LaGuardia Airport, where he then
published aviation trade newspapers, including "Air Cargo News."

He also published a few books under the general title "Air World's Great
Airports" -- I have a copy of "LaGuardia 1939-1979." He also wrote books on
Newark and JFK Airports. Sounds to me like he's a good source for your
brother. Now, I haven't kept track of him, so my data could be way too old,
but there is an address in the book to send orders:
Air World's Great Airports, Box 32243, Jamaica, NY 11431.

Good Luck!
