Well said. As long as those in the trades / crafts allow others to
dictate such conditions it will be a loosing arrangement for everyone
involved. It is the duty of those in the trades / crafts to help bring
common sense and practical experience to a project. These items are so
important and often lacking from the approach taken on many projects.
Many times it is a simple case of a project being driven by  someone
that has learned facts out of context and has no or very little
experience to fall back on. As a member of a project team the trades /
crafts must voice their views and concerns and be an active part of the
decision process.
