I was trying to figure out how to characterize Mr. Freed's response when I
contributed that valuable (or invaluable) tidbit yesterday, but gave up.

However, since you insist....As I remember, Freed, being a cultured
gentleman,  said something like  "I have no comment" in manner that made it
clear that he  (Freed) considered the questioner to be, in the immortal word
of the Philosopher Alphonse "Fonz" D'Amato, a putzhead, and one of the most
primitive order of Superstitiae, at that.  In short, he gave him a look that
said, "Get the fuck outta here."
