I have two things to say to that:
1 - I'm glad I am neither the super, nor Sydney Poitier.
2 - I hope that's not what they use to hold on Airbus A300 tailfins.

I broke down and asked if they had considered the availability of a
structural duct tape.

On other projects we have been using this super tape that is used to hold
aircraft wings together. I did not immediatly consider that aesthetics
should be a determining factor in a life safety issue.
