There are companies that "refinish" metal curtain walls. They might be able
to help. Le'me know if you need names, I might have one back at my office.
Otherwise Google.

Subject:	[BP] Aluminum storefront

It's real question time again.

Anybody know 1) whether sheet aluminum is available with a clear anodized
finish to match Kawneer (or equal) storefront assemblies, and/or 2) whether
it's possible to refinish (preferably in the field) 50 year old mill-finish
aluminum to put a clear anodized finish on it, or something that
approximates clear anodized?

I have a client/friend with a c. 1955 brick commercial building with
aluminum-trimmed windows and an aluminum awning hood over the show windows
that was intended the shelter a fabric awning. The storefronts are a mess
(60% replaced with bronze anodized, other half in poor condition and
unmatchable) and I want to repalce them with clear anodized. I'd prefer to
retain the original awning hood and frieze-like band it's attached to, but
unless I can get a decent finish put on it, it may ahve to go and be
repalced by some sort of clear anodized approximation of the original.

Thanks.

Ralph
