Leland explains:

souls who take the time to edit the proposals. <<

I consider my proposals to be "tools for understand." If I do not get
any questions or requests for proposal changes I go over it with them
paragraph by paragraph, sentence by sentence to make sure we are
arriving at an understanding. I set this policy back in the early 90s
when I was finishing up a project and it became clear the owner did not
understand basic key parts of our agreement. I my proposals I clearly
state that I am not a registered architect or licensed engineer and he
thought I was both! (yikes, I know for sure I not either one because for
years I've regularly taken gotten my inoculations)
