Our book will probably not be out for another year. Sigh! I know how long it takes from having helped with the Historic Preservation book, out since 2009, and a huge task. Norm is my main writer, since I'm still working, but he values my connections in the histo-presto world, so it is a collaboration of sorts.

BTW, our HP book is today at 31,248 for ALL books, an indication that it is the beginning of the semester, and is used by many HP programs around the country. Last week it was at 11,000 +/- which is most amazing to us, but still didn't result in that call from Oprah.

Although it seems the capitals were carved on site, I'm not sure if the staves were pre-entasis'ed or if the column was turned on a lathe and then then the flues were carved on site. Since the fillets at the top and bottom of the flues continue into the base and top pieces, it seems like the latter would make sense, to get them to line up.
