Ilene,

I looked up Gary Fleischauer here in Victoria and we had a good phone chat
about architecture, schools and careers. After being a partner in a
conventional architectural practice that also did some nice urban projects
with a heritage connection, he has been retired for some years and sounds
like he is really enjoying it. His voice sounds much younger than what one
might expect for such advanced years. Perhaps work in preservation
actually tends to preserve the preserver. Seems to be a lot of white hair
here with young attitudes.
