My Dad, who doesn't drink any alcohol and might be called a tea totaler
except he doesn't like tea either, once said if he wanted juniper berries
he'd go out in the pasture and pick some.  That was his opinion of gin.  I
don't remember what the occasion was that he was asked to pass judgement on
gin.  Ruth
