Don,

While I can't speak about the two antennas you mentioned, I suggest that you 
look at the Cobra Ultralite Senior, which is essentially a folded dipole 
about 130 feet long.  It's very light-weight and sturdy, and mine plays well 
on 40 and 75.  I don't know what the antenna will do in your specific 
environment, but I suggest it here as another possible option to consider.
