Tom,

Unfortunately, we can't help you much until your XYL can read the screen and 
tell us what has stopped the boot of Windows.

There is a list of options that should be displayed that you can arrow down 
through.  If these options are there, choose something like "last known good 
configuration" and see what happens.  If that doesn't work try again and 
boot into "safe mode", JAWS won't work but if it works do a normal restart 
and see what happens.

Report back and get more help or tell us it works now.
