I could see somebody copying about 10 wpm with a slate otherwise you have to 
use grade 3 Braille to keep up.  I could see copying about 25 or so using a 
brailler.  I've copied 45 wpm but that's equivalent to using a mill or 
typewriter.  I've copied 55 in my head but that's been quite a while ago.  I 
could probably consistently copy at 50wpm but I'd like to try some of those 
high speed methods you hear about in the fists newsletter. 73- pat kk3f
