I didn't like McAfee either when it was provided with my old Dell computer,
but the thing is that most antivirus software is not very accessible to us.
About the only one that is is Microsoft Security Essentials, and some people
have said it misses things.  I have Webroot Security and while it seems to
be a good protector, it is not accessible nor can you do much with it like
tell it when you want it to scan or check for updates.
