Mark,

There are still a bunch of old Alliance and Channel Master rotors kicking
around where you just turn the large knob till the index line points to the
desired direction and the antenna turns there. I have one of the Alliance
units up in the attic turning a 2m/440 log periodic.

not sure what Radio Shack may have now or how usable it is.

outside I currently have a Channel Master 9521 A which is current production
and sells for around 70$. May also still be sold in True Value hardware
stores.

Comes with rotor, small control box, and remote control. Both the control
box and remote have cw and ccw buttons. I use the remote to punch in a 3
digit compass heading and the antenna goes there. You can also program in
2 digit numbers to go to pre determined headings. Uses cheap 3 wire
control cable. I've used it in the past to turn a 2 element mini quad
beam, and currently a rotatable trap dipole for 10-15-20 meters.

73, Steve KW3A
