lol.  Sounds like me when I used to wire things into the family car.  I
shorted something once on a road trip and blew the fuses for most of the
van's accessory items...no stereo, no power windows, no interior lights
excetra.
I also ran a 400 watt amp out of the cigarette lighter plug once...it worked
fine until the end of the plug melted and shorted together.
live and learn? thankfully my parents were quite tollerant and understanding
of my electronics tinkering.
I used to kill the car battery regularly as a kid when running the stereo,
cb, scanner and other various 13.8V devices while the car was not running.
Eventually they made me start buying new batteries when they got worn out
from constant charging and boosting.
