John,

It' sad to me that you hate braille so much!  You don't seem to want braille 
in your life at all.  To each his/her own!

I guess it's possible to rely on audio sources and eliminate the need for 
braille, if a person hates it so much, but the sighted person doesn't have 
the option.  He/she can't say, "I'm not going to use print.  I won't write 
anymore with a pen or pencil and I won't read print or use a PC.  I'll just 
ignor print and get along fine!"
