Stay away from the cs-750 and 800 series at this point since the 
programming software is different and not accessible.

The other thing to keep in mind is the location and frequency of the 
repeaters in your area.

Unfortunately the Boston area is pretty much destroyed from military 
restrictions so dmr repeaters are mostly on vhf I believe but there are 
some UHF ones as well.

You would have to buy two radios to make things work for every repeater.

This may or may not be a problem though and depending  on the repeater 
network there there may be enough interconnection to allow you to just 
use one repeater and get everything you want.
