Oh I remember that keyer.  My big thing back in the early 60's was a T/r
switch and was I excited when I got my Johnson t/r switch hi.  It worked
like a charm for years hi hi.

I started listening to Cw seriously in 1968.  At that time there were a good

number of bugs and straight keys but plenty of keyers as well.  I think that

trend started in the early 60s especially when Halicrafters started 
manufacturing the T O keyer.
