The first thing to do is to get one of those fiber glass canes.  Hundreds,
perhaps thousands of blind folks have been killed or injured from lightning
traveling down their metal canes into their bodies.  Also be sure to wear
lots of sunscreen since most severe weather occurs during daylight and
clouds pass U V light.
