Richard you normally hear me on central area net on a Kenwood ts850s.  I
believe both the 706 and the 718 both use the ut102 voice synthesizer but
that only tells you the frequency.  With the kennwoods like the 850 and the
2000, you hit the speech function as you turn on the rig and the whole
keyboard ennunciates its functions on cw.  You definitely need the qsyer on
the 706 and 746 plus the 718.  73- pat kk3f
