Not sure. There is about 8200 there this morning. I have it all in
favorites and desktop shortcuts so cannot tell you the url. Go get a
Victor Stream and download away. They are on special from some vendors
for just under $300 I think. Audible books are now supported and RFBD
is supposed to come very soon as well. Now what ham gear can I unload
????

Hi Bret;
Will the nls site let you look at the list of books available for
download even if you have not been approved for the download program?
Richard

Richard,=20

The beta test has been testing the download version of the DTB project
for some time now. We have been downloading to SD cards which were
originally placed into modified Victor Reader Classic models. Humanware
has been the first to release a stand alone card only reader for this
project. It will also play other types of material. =20

In the very near future NLS will begin distributing cartridges (to
accommodate manual dexterity issues with the very small cards) with
materials pre-loaded as you currently get books from the library. An
option for the Humanware Victor Stream is a cable which will allow you
to connect to the NLS cartridges as well. =20

Downloading of books will continue for those who wish to use it but this
is not designed to replace cartridge distribution for other users or to
my knowledge limit your participation in both distribution methods. =20

A FAQ is available at Human ware's website if you look for digital
talking books. =20

HTH. =20

Hi;
We got on this thread a few weeks ago and I'm not certain if I ever
figured a few things out. If you are a resident of the States you
should be eligible for books on memory cards sometime in the future.
Can you or will you be able to simply down load them with your computer
similar to bookshare? If yes can you currently do that and where might
I look for more info.
The state affiliate library says cards only but I was left with the idea
that there is or will be some type of download program.
