I have one of the small ones here (750  watts), but am currently running an 
AL-8-0B.  I think Gary from this list in Mississippi has the mid size 1 KW 
with auto band switching.  Then there is the big boy,  legal limit, auto 
band switching and built in auto tuner.  Only 6 grand or so.   A mere bag of 
shells.
