Hi Russ and thanks for the imfo.  That sounds like a good mod.  I would
like a copy of it, and maybe I can get someone to make the mod and
replace the front end FET.  The DX390 has a problem with frying the front
end, if you hook them up to any external antena.  It is a $2 transistor,
but radio shack charges a minimum of $42 dollars to service the radio.
