Here is a bit of info that a friend of mine gave me when I shared your info
with him.

Yes, the E of course is the European version.
I was thinking it was the replacement for the IC-92AD and cheaper, but AES
has the ID-51A for $629.99 and selling the IC-92AD for $539.99.
