Hi Fred.

I think you misunderstood my question, but anyway I saw it answered in one
of your posts back to Steve. What I was wondering was whether or not JAWS
would the incoming transmission that wasn't being read automatically.

If you frame it, as one person suggested, then each time new text shows up,
the whole framed area gets read again, rather than just the new text that
was just transmitted. I had this problem with the old DOS program paKet
6.1 and Vocal-Eyes, and I never found a way with Vocal-Eyes User Windows to
just trap the new lines on the screen and speak them. JAWS frames will
present the same problem.

My solution on my DOS-based packet station was to go back to plain old
ProComm which worked without having to tweak anything.

I suspect that you will either end up dealing with the text in some not
completely satisfying manner, or will end up finding different software.

Unfortunately, this is a problem that I've never found a completely
satisfactory solution for.
