Wow, that's a statement with all the intelligence of a 3 year old. "get a 
life"? I have one thank you. I'm just glad I have the smarts to know how bad 
echolink is for ham radio. We need to get people on the air. There are 
enough programs out there to chat all over the world on the computer, 
there's no point to echolink especially when it's getting people off the 
bands. Luckily it's a small number of people but if we keep getting the 
newer people over there and telling them that's the way it's done now, 
another 10 years there will be no real ham radio to speak of it will be all 
computer and that will cause 3/4 of the ham population if not more to sell 
out if they can and turn in their licenses, myself included.

Now, if you want to grow up and use something more intelligent than "get a 
life" feel free to respond, if not, you can go cry on echolink because I'll 
never hear you.
