I have an R8 which is about 300 pounds here in the U.K. and it works
fine.
The advantage is that it has integral radials so is a stand alone
antenna and you don't need any other wire radials.
It covers all bands from 40 to 6 M, so you would have to consider 80 and
160 separately.
