the 10 meter FM repeaters are not the nicest to try and operate.  they are 
noisy, often experience high qrm and sometimes there are multiple repeaters 
on the same frequency...all this makes for a rather anoying set of 
circumstances.
However, 29.6 is the FM simplex calling frequency on 10M and is allot more 
fun to operate on.
