Butch,

I don't think I'd want to try running a remote station on someone else's 
router, especially if you have to use a router extender to boost the signal. 
Too many things can go wrong, and there are too many things over which you 
have no control.  You may even be doing something technically illegal by 
using someone else's router, but I'm not an expert on that point.  I just 
know I wouldn't do it for the technical reasons sited above.
