Just have to say this.
It's totally inadequate, but
Farewell Walter Cronkite, we will never listen to your like again.  You were 
our trusted friend.  Helping us get through terrible times, and celebrate 
the most prideful of times.  Of all the people that were alive in my 
lifetime, you were the one person I would have liked most to spend a day 
with.  I solute your integrity, which is the most valuable of 
characteristics a person can choose to have.
