Howard,

The Trekker is the GPS option for the Visualaide Maestro. I haven't seen
the latest iteration of the Maestro, but the earlier implementation of the
PDA from Visualaide wasn't nearly as accessible as the Braille Note.

If you are looking mainly for GPS navigation capability then the Trekker
would be a cost-competitive option; it is cheaper but workable. But, if you
want something to do other applications with such as browsing, taking notes,
then stick with the Braille Note or PacMate. The demonstrations of the
StreetTalk GPS program for the PacMate, in my opinion, leaves a lot to be
desired. So, my thought would be to try to work on improving your use of
the Braille Note.
