John,

Several versions of Skype had a problem with saving audio settings. Version
3.88 and the latest 4.2 beta versions seem to have fixed this problem, but
the current 4.1 version is full of buggs!

Life is full of challenges, that's what makes it interesting!

Is Skype set to use the line in as the microphone port? you'll have to do
that and I can't get mien to stay, every time I shut down the computer I
have to put that back for some reason. I have a separate sound card in my
computer at home I use for Skype with one line in and one speaker port. For
some reason though Skype keeps resetting to the default sound card mic in
for input, and speakers for output, I have to every time I restart the
computer, put it back the way I use it and I don't get why.
